Captain Raju, the tall, handsome and bold ex-Army man, denounced his uniform for art. This six feet, three-inch tall actor who glorified the villain characters in Malayalam cinema was born in 1950 as the son of Mr. Daniel and Mrs. Anna. Raju is married to Prameela, and they have a son Ravi. Raju completed his graduation and joined Indian army at a very young age. He started working with drama clubs before moving to the world of movies. Captain Raju has acted in several Malayalam serials and TV shows.

Captain Raju’s first movie was Rakhtham, from the talented director Joshi. Captain Raju completed close to 100 movies in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, English and Kannada languages. After portraying many negative characters, Raju made a conscious decision to focus on comedy and character roles. Thus, the audience got a chance to see a different face of the rough and tough villain. This versatile genius has also directed a movie named itha oru snehagatha. Captain Raju has acted in serials and advertisements as well. Some of the notable movies include August Onnu, Pranaya Nilav, Uddayappuram Sultan, Thurupu Gulan, Kilukam Kilukilukam, Nasrani, Pazhassi Raja, China Town, Mumbai police, Adimakal Udamakal, Aranayakam, Agnidevan, Aazhi, and Sammelanam.
