R. Viraj is an Indian writer and director. He works predominantly in the Marathi Film Industry. In October 2015, Viraj started working with Star India Pvt. Ltd. Since then, he has been an integral part of numerous projects, delivering his unmatched vision and expertise to television series and films. He has worked as an Associate Director for Star Pravah. His directorial works include Swapnanchya Plaikadale (Marathi tv series), Kanyadan (Marathi tv series), Suvasini, J3 Junction, Super Woman (Marathi reality show), Musical Talent Hunt Show, Golmaal (Television Feature Film). He is also credited as a writer for a documentary-drama crime show titled Kab...Kyun...Kaise? (Telecasted on DD National).

He has directed many movies like Shyamche Vadil (2012), which won the Sahyadri Award for Best Screenplay (2013), Vaajlaach Paahije - Game Ki Shinema (2015), and Babanchi Shala (2016). Babanchi Shala is a highly acclaimed movie which won several awards like Best Film at the Chitrapushpa Marathi Film Festival, Pune (2015), Best Social Film and Best Screenplay at DD Sahyadri Awards (2015), Best Film at Sangli International Film Festival (2015), Best Film-Social Issue and Best Lyrics at the Kalyan International Film Festival (2014). He also won Best Director for Babanchi Shala and Best Director-Social Film for Shyamche Vadil. He worked as a writer for the Marathi Film Sangharsh (2014).
