Shailesh Narwade is a dramatist, filmmaker, and media worker. He wrote and directed the Marathi feature film Roommates, which premiered at the 2017 NFDC Film Bazaar in Goa. He also directed a few Hindi short films.He has authored Hindi plays such as Chalo Chalte Hai, The Selfish Game, Mahatkritya, Bachate Raho, and his most recent, Maseeha. In the Maharashtra State Hindi Drama Competition in 2000, his play Mahatkritya received second place. Shailesh is the founder of Nagpur's Meliorist Film Studio, Meliorist Theatre, and the Expressions Film Festival. For over a decade, he has worked in print and electronic media on a regional and national scale.

He is currently working as a freelance writer.
