Professional singer Sanup Paudel hails from Nepal. His birthplace is Shillong, India. He is one of the best-known music artists from Nepal. Out of four siblings, he is the youngest. His musical career began after he completed his education. He completed his bachelor's in ethnomusicology at Kathmandu University. After completing his bachelor's, he learned classical music under the singer Shukla Dham. He had the opportunity to study for around six months at the School of Oriental and African Studies in the United Kingdom. The young musician arrived in Nepal in 1997. He enrolled himself in vocal classroom lessons with Prabhu Raj Dhaka. Sanup became famous at nineteen after being selected as a contestant in Gulshan Kumar's Geet Bahar singing competition in Mumbai.

Before his debut, the song Samjhana Aaidinchha that he sang became an instant hit with Nepali viewers. He launched his first album, "Voice," in 2004. In 2008, he released his second album, "Rays," and enjoyed even more popularity. Sanup Paudel has also worked as a music teacher for nine years at St. Mary's School. He has produced twelve albums so far, including Mero Euta Saathi Chha, Manjari, and numerous others. For his songs "Daiba Hey" from the film Manjari, "Pratispardha: A Struggle Within," and "Timro Desai Ma," among several popular melodies, Paudel earned different awards. Sanup has worked as a judge for the Nepali edition of the famous international singing competition "The Voice of Nepal."
