Born on 9 March 1964, Rekha Dhasmana Uniyal is from Chhatoda Village of Uttarakhand and is famous for her Kumaoni, Garhwali, and Jaunsari songs. Her father is Mr. Lokesh Dhasmana, and her mother is Mrs. Kamla Dhasmana, and she did her education in Delhi. Rekha's interest in music came from her family. She started singing at 4. She shifted to Mumbai in 1988 when she married Mr.Rakesh Uniyal, and they had two children together. She started singing as a profession when her father-in-law encouraged her.
