Deep Sidhu was born on 2 April, 1984 and was an Indian actor, lawyer, and activist who worked in Punjabi films. Sidhu began his film career with the Punjabi film Ramta Jogi produced by actor Dharmendra under his banner Vijayta Films. Sidhu was born into a Punjabi family in the Udekaran village of Muktsar in the Punjab region. He obtained a law degree from Punjabi University in Patiala. Sidhu participated in the Grasim Mr. India and became Grasim Mr. Personality and Grasim Mr. Talented in 2006. His first appointment was with the Sahara India Pariwar as a legal adviser. He then worked for a British law firm, Hammonds, which managed the accounts for Disney, Sony, and other Hollywood studios.

Sidhu then became the official head of Balaji Telefilms for three and a half years. Sidhu made his first acting role in Ramta Jogi, which brought him PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best male debut for Punjabi Cinema in 2016. Some of his movies are Jora 10 Numbaria (2017). He followed that up with Rang Panjab (2018), Saade Aale (2018), Desi (2019), and Jora: Chapter Two (2020). Before his death, he campaigned for right-wing leader Simranjit Singh Mann and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).

He died in a road accident on 15th February 2022. The accident occurred at the Kundli-Manesar highway in Haryana's Kharkhoda, near Delhi. Sidhu was driving his car (Mahindra Scorpio) to Punjab. His car hit a truck parked on the highway. He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead.
