Nisha Bano whose actual name is Nishat Bano is a Punjabi singer and actress. She was born on 26 June 1984 in Mansa, Punjab, India. Her family and close friends often call as ‘Nishu’. She recently got married to singer Sameer Mahi who is also her close friend. She did her schooling from Yogesh Memorial Public School in Mansa, Punjab. She actively participated in art andh cultural activities during her school-days. She has done her graduation from SD College, Mansa. She got the tag of ‘Desi Queen’. She feels that acting is a God’s gift to her. She did a play as child artist in her school and that was her first stage performance. She started her career as a singer from duet singing with Karamjit Anmol. She got immense fame for her role of Shanti in the movie ‘Nikka zaildar’.Also, she kept the essence of her character Shanti in her song ‘Adab Jatti’. Her role in the movie ‘Surkhi Bindi’ was her dream role and, she was praised a lot for that role. She is not a brand conscious person and loves street shopping. She is fun-loving as well an as calm and composed person. She loves to sing old songs, and mostly perform on old songs on stages.
