Shaina Ghuraya is a story editor, writer, and director of an Indian origin. She has been working in the entertainment industry for over 4 years. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and TV Production from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from California State University-Sacramento. With a strong academic background and extensive experience in the field, she is well-equipped to create compelling stories that captivate audiences. Previously, she worked as a writer on Boons and Curses for Netflix Animation for a year, contributing to the magical universe of Maya. She had also participated in the CBS Pipeline Challenge and the Academy Gold Production Track, honing her skills and preparing herself for the industry.
She is working as a full-time staff writer for Cpics and a part-time story editor for Rebuilt Minds, overseeing post-production turnover and editing short films, while also providing coverage advice on set. She has worked as an editor on the short film I Really Love This Piece (2021), Beyond This Room (2018), Shades of Jade (2020), the television series This Animated Life (2018), and Blue Abroad (2021). She has directed Wheelchair Wendy (2018) and produced Human Helper (2019).
