Kiran Ahluwalia is the "Newcomer" Canadian Singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. Ms. Ahluwalia was born on July 1, 1965, in Patna, Bihar. She grew up in Delhi, and as she grew up, she shifted to Toronto in Canada. Kiran completed MBA from Dalhousie University and came back to Toronto. Initially, Kiran decided to work in the financial services industry, but later she switched toward music and planned to be a musician. The musician won the "Newcomer" category at Songlines Music Awards in inaugural songlines announced on 1 May 2009 – the "World Music" awards organized by Songline: UK-based magazine. Kiran Ahluwalia is one of those singers who got the Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards in 2016 by Canadian Immigrant Magazine. Kiran married Rez Abbasi, a co-producer and a well-known guitar player.
