Kamalakannan is an Indian Film Director & Actor primarily working in Tamil Film Industry. His most notable film is His debut & till date only film Madhubana Kadai (2012). Kamalakannan was born on 1989 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He had immense attraction towards various genres of Films from a very early age. He started as a director & editor for Short film Eduthutom.
He also directed Uyir Uthir Kaalam & Solla Maranthuten (2013). The later received huge critical acclaim as well as won people’s choice award in Short Film gala conducted in 2013. He made his debut in Full Feature film industry with 2012 Socio-political Satire Madhubana Kadai. The film revolves around a TASMAC (Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation) shop, where real life addicted people played the leading roles. The film launched Actor Rafeeq & Ishwarya as new lead couples. The film received mixed reviews at the time of release but now people consider it as a cult film. Later in 2017,
Kamalakannan donned the shoes of an actor in Tamil TV series Vinnai Thodu. Kamalakannan is also a known voice in the area of digitalization in cinema. His intellectual views about society increased his fans all over the India.
