Started in 2012 as a director and writer, M. Anbazhagan is an upcoming star director in Tamilian cinema. Saattai was his first direction which was based on reforming of education system in the villages. Starring Samuthirakani in the lead, he went on to get 4 out of 5 stars as per a Times Of India critics. Also the writer for the said film, he should also be given credit for all the wonderful thoughts and dialogues of the actors. This film will entertain its onlookers and they will also go home with a bunch of inspiration about what could be and should be done for those poor in the villages who are getting cliché education because they are the part of our culture as well.

Thambi Ramajah, another lead of the film got nominated for ‘Best Actor in Supporting Role’ by 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards. Working in collaboration with D. Imman as sound artist (which continued in his next work), received much more accreditation than most of the first time directions. Anbazhagan has primarily worked for the Tamil film industry. M. Anbazhagan is known for his notable work in several Tamil films like Saattai, released in 2012; Lee, released in 2007; Laadam, released in 2009; Adutha Sattai, released in 2019; Mynaa, released in 2010; Appa, released in 2016; and Rubaai, released in 2017. M. Anbazhagan has won the Vijay Award for Best Debut Director and Best Dialogue. Anbazhagan won a gold medal for his diploma in film technology. Anbazhagan's film Saattai won the best feature film award at the Chennai International Film Festival and the best villain award at the Norway Film Festival.
