Major Sundarrajan

’Sundarrajan’ was born on 1st March, 1935, in Madras Presidency in India. Starting his career as an amateur stage artist, he grew as an exceptional talent in acting. Sundarrajan was working as an employee in the Telecom department during the 1950s. While playing in amateur stage dramas, Sundarrajan was offered a role in ‘Pattinathar’, which was directed by K. Somu. So, he made his silver screen debut with T. M. Soundararajan’s starrer in 1962. Gradually, he was offered good roles. Veteran director “K. Balachander” is the one who presented him with a good career. Yes, through his excellent performance as a visually challenged person in “Major Chandrakanth”, Sundarrajan reached heights as a character artist. The film had “J.
