Pondy Ravi is a movie actor who is associated with the Tamil film industry. His movies are released in Tamil languages. He has already done more than 60 films. In 1997, he has worked as an assistant cameraman in the movie Minsara Kanavu. He has acted as a cop in numerous films including Alapayutthey, Minnale and Kaakha Kaakha which were released in 2000, 2001, and 2003 respectively. He also went for the auditions of the 2013 film, Life of Pi. In that, he played the role of a traffic cop. In the 2015 movie Vajram, he performed the role of a corrupted police officer. He has also portrayed a lead role in the movie Saamida under the name Sembi in 2008. The film had a low-key release.
