Sriranjani is well known for her tragedy roles in Tamil-Telugu films. Sriranjani was born in the murikipudi village of Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. She has acted in many films but in 1949, her portrayal in the film “
Gunasundari Katha” of the Gunasundari character brought her fame in the industry.
