T T V Dhinakaran is a member of the political party AIADMK and he has been a member of Rajya Sabha. He was once the treasurer of AIADMK and has served the party for decades. He has won many highly anticipated elections and has been a significant figure in the party. However, he was removed from the party in 2017 and launched his own party named Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam. He is related to K V Sasikala as her nephew and hence been as active as her in politics. He was considered a near one too late Jayalalitha and hence had secured his position in the party.
