Mathiyalagam has a production company by the name Etcetera Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. He has made films like Irumugan, Devi, Anjaka, Saithan, and Pichaikkaran.
In 2019, he made KolayuthirKaalam starring Nayanthara, directed by ChakriToleti. The release of the film has been stalled due to a legal issue.
