Sruthi Prakash, born in Pune, Maharashtra is a Marathi actress. She has also appeared in many Tamil films and popularly known as 'Sruthi Prakash' in South Movies. She debuted in cinema industry in first Marathi film 'Sania Choughade' directed by Rajeev Patil and co-starred with
Shreyas Talpade and
Sai Tamhankar. The film is light-hearted family entertainer full of twists and turn that forces everyone to inspect the conventional arranged marriage system.
In 2009, Sruthi appeared in first Tamil film '
Indira Vizha' in which she portrayed the character of 'Savitri Duraisimaalu'. She also played the character of Saki in the Tamil film 'Naan Avanillai 2' In this film Sruthi(Saki) along with Nisha(Swetha Menon) and Deepa(Lakshmi Rai), are in an endeavor to search for the evidence against Maria being cheat.
Later from 2010-2012, she appeared in several Tamil-Marathi films mostly in supporting roles. Sruthi has also acted in several Television Channel series such as 'Sant Sakhu', 'Peshwai' and 'Radha Hi Bhagawan.'
