Chota K. Naidu is a prominent Indian cinematographer in the Telugu film industry. He is the brother of Tollywood cinematographer, Shyam K. Naidu and the uncle of
Sundeep Kishan (Telugu actor). His first film as a cinematographer was the 1991 Telugu film, Amma Rajinama, helmed by
Dasari Narayana Rao. He earned the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer – South for the 2008 Telugu film, Kotha Nagaru Lokam and the 2012 Telugu fantasy film, Damarukam. He worked in the cinematography of the Telugu films, Raguluthunna Bharatham, Santaan, Deyyam, Veedavadandi Babu, Master,
Choodalani Vundi, Kunwara, Annayya, Daddy, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Baba, Aadi, and much more. He is notable for his work in the blockbuster Telugu comedy film,
Venkatadri Express, in 2013. This film stars Sundeep Kishan and
Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. It was said that his cinematography was the main strength of the movie. In the same year, Naidu has worked in the Telugu action-comedy-thriller film, Baadshah.
He is also the cinematographer of Harish Shankar’s action masala film,
Ramayya Vasthavayya. In 2015, he handled the cinematography of the Telugu films, Beeruva and Tiger, which both starred Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. This 2016, Sundeep will be starred again in the upcoming film, Olla Ammayi Thappa, opposite Nitya Menon and Naidu is working in the cinematography of the film. Naidu’s daughter, Aishwarya Pelli Sandadi, got married in November 2009, and the event was attended by the biggies in the film industry such as Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Bala Krishna,
Ravi Teja, NTR, Prabhas,
Dil Raju, and a lot more.
