S. Gopala Reddy

S. Gopala Reddy is a renowned cinematographer and is also a screenwriter, director, and producer in Telugu, and Hindi films. The famous cinematographer was born on 4th July, 1951. His hometown is in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He joined Venus Studio, in 1968 which marked the commencement of his career as a cinematographer, where he worked as a trainee under V.S.R Swami. Initially, all of his work was in black and white movies.

In 1979, he began working as a fully-developed cinematographer in the Telugu film industry. He worked in Tollywood and Bollywood movies in the 80’s. He has done camera work in 15 films starring the South Indian star, Nagarjuna. In Bollywood, he worked in Amitabh Bachchan’s movies like Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye (1983), Aakhri Raasta (1986), and Dilwala (1986), Aakhri Raasta, and Inquilab.
