S. Babji

Sangadala Babji, popularly known as Babji director, was born in Hyderabad, Telangana. He is a renowned director of the Tollywood industry. Babji is the founder and owner of Babji Talkies. Apart from directing, he has also been a producer, screenwriter, and costume designer. Including Telugu, Babji has also worked in Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali industries. He produced the film Goodu Putani in 1972. Later, in 1976, Babji became the producer of Bale Dhongalu. He was also the producer of the Bengali film Maharudra in 1985. In 1988, Babji produced the Telugu film Dhorakani Dhonga. He was a director of photography in the Telugu film Jayammu Nischayammu Rao in 1989. Then, he was a photography director in the Telugu film Prema Zindabad, Vichitra Prema in 1991, Alibaba Aradajanu Dongalu in 1994, and CBI Durga in 1997.

In 1990, he was a costume designer in the Hindi film Izzatdar. He was again a costume designer in the Hindi film Pyaar Hua Chori Chori in 1991. In 1996, he directed the Telugu film Nallapoosalu. Babji was the writer and director of the 2000 film N.T.R. Nagar. Babji also worked as an art director in the Tamil film Dhana in 2010. He directed Tea, samosa, and Biscuit in Telugu in 2014.
