Vakkantham Vamsi is an Indian Telugu Film actor who has now diversified his talents and became a dialogue writer and screenplay writer in the Telugu cinema. In recent years he has also been seen writing scripts in Hindi for the Bollywood film industry. He was born in a small village called Arikela which is near Punganur which is in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. He did his graduation from Sri Venkateshwara University which is in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This university was founded by the Chief Minister Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu in the year 1954. His father was Vakkantham Suryanarayana Rao and Vakkantham Vamsi followed in his legacy of being a writer. He gained true recognition for his language skills in diction and acting during his formative schooling years.

After graduating Vakkantham Vamsi started his television career as a news presenter initially but soon continued on to becoming a television anchor and he later starred as the character of Sukha Muni in Bapu Ramana’s television serial called Bhagavatham which was telecast on ETV Network. His first ever appearance on the big screen was in the Telugu film Kalyana Prapthirasthu. The film was directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. After its release, his film Kick, which released in the year 2009, made him one of the star writers of the Telugu Cinema. The film Kick was a turning point in his career life and opened new avenues for him after its release. He is of the opinion that the concept of entertainment has had a drastic change over the past few years. It has turned more sadistic in the current times.

Presently in every film it is seen that the comedian gets slapped or kicked by someone and this leads to laughter amongst the audience. He, later on, went on to writing scripts for famous super stars in the Telugu cinema such as Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu, N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan and Allu Arjun. He later went on to writing many more films such as Kalusukovalani in the year 2002, Ashok in the year 2006, Athidhi in the year 2007, Kick in the year 2009, Kalyanram Kathi in the year 2009, Oosaravelli in the year 2011, Yevadu in the year 2014, Race Gurram in the year 2014, Kick in the year 2014, Temper in the year 2015, Kick 2 in the year 2015 and Touch Chesi Chudu in the year 2017.
