Adith Arun is an Indian film actor. He has appeared in Tamil and Telugu language films. Presently, he is focused mainly on Tamil and Telugu film industry. Adith was born on 8th of June, In Chennai, India. He is the only child of his parents. He did his schooling from Visakhapatnam (nicknamed Vizag), the city of Andhra Pradesh. Later, he went to pursue a degree in journalism, from Madras Cristian College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He worked on a few shows for Madras Players and Board-walkers. At a young age too, he was fond of acting and showcased his acting skills in various short films.
Arun debuted his film career through ‘Katha’, which was a Telugu language film. He starred opposite
Genelia DSouza in this film.This Telugu thriller was a critical acclaim, but Arun earned only some good compliments for himself. Then he got a movie called ‘Inidhu Inidhu’ which was produced by
Prakash Raj. The movie Inidhu Inidhu was released a year after the release of Katha. Arun was signed for a movie ‘Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey’, which was a Tamil film, but due to some production issues, Arun was later replaced by ‘
Aari’ for this movie. His movies Inidhi Inidhu (2010) and Theneer Vidhuthi (2011) were both box office failures with poor response. He then appeared in a Telegu movie ‘
Weekend Love’, in 2014, which again was a big flop. Afterwards, he worked in another Telugu movie ‘
Tungabhadra’, which was produced by
Sai Korrapati. This film gave him some positive reviews.
In 2015, he did a Tamil movie called ‘
Thangamagan’ and a Telugu movie called ‘
L7’. On his Facebook account, he speaks about himself as, “An artist, seeker, traveler, photographer, adrenaline Junkie and most importantly a nomad at heart and a gypsy on the move…I act in movies in between of all this”.
