Arjun Yajath is a newcomer in Telugu cinema but surprised everyone by playing the role of as Transgender in the movie 'Arddhanaari ', which released in 2016. The film had limited screening all over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and the movie was even dubbed into Hindi.
What was interesting to note in this movie was his body language, make-up, dress codes, etc. which was matching the script. Plus, his looks proved ideal for the eunuch's role. It is true, he created quite a stir when he accepted the role.
After all, even many leading actors do not want to risk his image playing a eunuch. So it was strange that a young, up-coming actor should accept such a role in his debut film.
In this movie, Arjun Yajath narrated the role of a protagonist who takes the disguise as Transgender and led the fight against social injustice and turns punisher as well. The film could have been more gripping if it had a better screenplay and avoided outdated narration style. However, it was a good attempt that Tollywood, as an industry has been welcoming the third gender.
The film was directed by Bhanu Shankar Chowdary and produced by M Ravi Kumar. The story and screenplay of the movie were by Bhanu Shankar Chowdary. Ravi Varma scored the music and the films had Mouryaani, Mirchi Madhavi, Gharshan Sreenivasan and Hari Krishna in other prominent roles.
In his next attempt as an actor, he was seen opposite Usha and other prominent Telugu actors like Kota Srinivasa Rao. Prudhivi Raj, Raghav, and Vizag Prasad. The film was named as 'Geethopadesam', and it was directed by Zinna. The film was produced by J Madhu Babu, and the music was composed by Rahul-Vengi.
He has recently posted a message on Facebook, that he is really surprised to know that his movie ‘Ardhdhanaari’ was dubbed in Hindi and it is on Youtube channel and it got more than 2 Million Views.
He will also be seen in the film ‘Moodu Poovulu Aaru Kayalu’, which will release in 2018. The shooting of the film is complete and the post-production activities are currently on. The film stars are Arjun Yajath, Bharat Bandaru, Ramaswamy,
