Nagabhushanam was one among the popular comedians in the Telugu cinema industry. He was born in the year 1922 in Andhra Pradesh. He has acted nearly 400 films in Telugu for nearly thirty years. He was a stage actor and has acted in more than 2,000 stage plays. One among his hit stage shows was, Rakhta Kanneru, in which he performed in his own name. He was the producer of that drama and he gained much popularity through that. Palleturu was his first movie, which was released in the year 1952. Two years after the debut in the cinema, he took the lead role in the movie Edi Nijam. He has performed in many historical movies and spiritual movies like Maya Bazaar, Bhookailas, Chenchu Lakshmi and Bhishma and many more. Aatmiyulu was the film, which had Nagabhushanam as a Justice. He did the role perfectly and the audience applauded his performance. He acted as the Villainy Shakuni in the film Kurukshethram in the year 1977. His last movie was Number One, cast by Krishna and Soundarya. Nagabhushanam also produced many hit films. One of his best productions is Oke Kutumbam. He was the proud recipient of the Rashtrapathi Award for his performance in Amara Sandesam. This popular comedy as well as a character artist left the earth in the year 1995.
