Sushmita, also known as Sushmitha, is an Indian actress working mainly in the Tollywood industry. She hails from Hyderabad, Telangana. Sushmita auditioned for a Telugu film because of her interest in the entertainment industry. Her family supported her passion and encouraged her to pursue acting along with her studies. Sushmita was in the 11th standard or first year of her inter-college when she debuted in the Telugu film industry. She remarked in an interview that it was the first time she faced cameras. Sushmita had no acting experience before her debut as a leading actress. The 2016 Raju Gari Intlo 7 Va Roju movie is her first and only film as an actress. She starred alongside Bharath, who was also one of the movie producers. Sushmita underwent training for the fight and dance scenes. She is also fluent in Telugu, Tamil, and English.
