Madhavapeddi Satyam

Madhavapeddi Satyam is a popular Telugu singer and a stage actor. He was born in the year 1922 in Bhramana Koduru, a village in Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Madhavapeddi Lakshmi Narasiah and Sundaramma. He loved music from his childhood. With the inspiration of his uncle Madhavapeddi Venkatramayya, Satyam began to act in dramas. When he was acting in Chalo Delhi, a social drama, he was caught in the eyes of the popular director Y. V. Rao. He was provided with an opportunity to act in a Tamil Hindi Bilingual movie called Ramadas. He accepted the offer and acted in the film as Kabir and sang three songs in that film. After this movie, Madhavapeddi Satyam got a chance to sing in the Telugu films and he utilized it well. The song in his voice for S. V. Ranga Rao in the movie Maya Bazaar was a great hit and it is very popular till now. He acted in Shavukaru, Maya Bazaar and Dakshayagnam. His songs in Shavukaru was very popular on those days. Viswanathan have received the Madhavapeddi Satyam award.
