Dubbing Janaki is a popular South Indian television and film actress. Her real name is Janaki but when she dubbed for different characters, the film industry changed her name to Dubbing Janaki. She usually portrays motherly roles in almost all her movies and she became famous for it. Janaki was born in Pedhapuram, Vishakapatam, Andhra Pradesh. She was also a stage artist and acted in stage dramas when she was in her 4th class. Goli Ramakrishna Garu was her guru. Janaki completed until her 7th class only.
She received many awards as Best Actress for her performances. She prefers to do dramas. She was married at her early age to a military employee. After their marriage, they moved to Chennai. They were blessed to have two sons and one daughter who is a dubbing artist. They all settled in Chennai together with her grandchildren.
To support her family, she started to act in movies in 1958 and her first film was Bhookailas on AVM Productions. Janaki also dubbed for Kasthuribai role in the Telugu film, Ghandi. She also acted in many films but she became popular for her role in the musical drama film, Sankarabharanam in 1979. After that, she received many offers mostly to do motherly roles. Janaki is very simple and always mingle when in front of many people.
She has acted to nearly 18 movies under the direction of Vishwanath. People think that she is a Brahman because of her movies. She likes her character as Annapurna, the wife of Avadhani in the Telugu film, Saptapadi in 1981. She also appeared in the 1977 Telugu film, Amaradeepam, Seetamalakshmi in 1978, Sgara Sangamam in 1983, Swati Mutyam in 1986,
Agni Putrudu in 1987, Varasudochhadu in 1988, Geethanjali in 1989, Ontari Poratam in 1989, and Coolie No. 1 in 1991, Aashayam in 1993,
Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Abhishekam and a lot more.
