Ayub Khawar is a famous Pakistani poet, writer, and television director. Ayub was born on 12 June 1948 in Chakwal. He completed his education in Karachi and received a master's degree in Urdu Literature from the University of Karachi. He worked in the media industry for more than four years, from 1976 to 2004, as a project manager, television producer, and manager of satellite and terrestrial TV channels. Ayub has made some fire tv series like Ghareeb-e-Sheher, Ali Baba Aur 40 Chor, Kaanch ke Par etc. He has directed many popular serials for PTV like Fishaar, Khawaja, Son, Pataal, Qasmi Kahani, and Gulzar Classics.

He has written more than 50 books, poems, and prose, they became so famous that some of his poems have been translated into English. He directed the popular drama Mazaaq Raat which airs on Dunya News. Khawar’s writing is known for its unique style and creative manner. His well-recognized works are Gul Mosam-e-Khazan, Mohabbat Ki Kitaab, Love at First Crime, and Bohat Kuch Kho Gaya Hai. Kaval's contribution has been nominated twice for Best TV Director at the Lux Style Awards.
