She made her debut as a singer in the movie Billo. Zubaida Khanum got selected to sing songs for a film called Sheri Babu. The songs she sang in Sheri Babu became a major hit and earned her great fame. Her voice was considered a national treasure during the golden era of Pakistani film music.
