Urdu Writer Noorul Huda Shah

Noorul Huda Shah is a Pakistani actor, writer, poet, and columnist. She was born on July 22, 1956, in Hyderabad, Sindhi. She graduated from Sindh University. After her graduation, she began her career as a drama artist at Pakistan Television Corporation (PVT). She made her first debut with Jungle in 1983. She has worked in over 20 television dramas. Some of her familiar works are Faaslay, Thodi Si Mohabbat, Tapish, and Na Junnon Raha Na Pari Rahi. In 2008, she was honored with the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.

During Sindh's interim administration, she also served as her country's Minister of Information. She worked as a soap producer for Geo before switching to Hum TV as a scriptwriter. She was assigned to lead A-Plus television as CEO. She then began working for Hum Sitaray. She joined Bol Network in 2017. Shah has produced a large number of short stories, some of which have been collected in the book Jala Watan. Shah currently contributes a column to the online news site called HumSub.
