Though Spandan was not only the child artist in Udaan, she was one of the most influential characters. With the lion like courage, deer like fast running, and clever like fox, chakor was able to free bonded labour in her village. The fiction was based on children being exploited in exchange of money and the pugnacity of a spunky girl who with her responsiveness decided to walk on fire for the education and impetus of her village in order to save them from being exploited.
