So there isn’t an Oscar winning Bollywood movie but there are movies which made it to the final nomination list for the category of the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. Almost every year an Indian movie is chosen by a committee formed by the Film Federation of India (FFI) as an Indian entry to the Oscars. These movies are from various Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Gujarati.
