1. Bombay Velvet

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starring in Bombay Velvet, a huge budget movie of 1.2 billion INR was predicted to break all Box Office Records. Bombay Velvet with a lot of expectations, turned out as the biggest high-budget flop movie. Anurag Kashyap directed Bombay Velvet was rejected by the audience as it was not able to cover one–third of its budget value. It was considered as one of the biggest flops of Bollywood in 2015. Before the release of Bombay Velvet, no one would have thought that it’s going to be one of the biggest flopbuster of all time.

2. Raavan

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Raavan was also considered as one of the biggest budgets movie of all time. With a massive budget of 1 billion INR, Raavan was Thriller entertainment starring Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. It was a huge flop as its box office collection was almost half of the movie budget and it lost almost more than half of its budget value.

3. Blue

1 billion INR budget film Blue, was Bollywood’s most expensive entertainment feature in 2009. Directed by Anthony D’Souza and with a star cast of Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan, it most certainly had a big budget but it turned out to be one of Bollywood's biggest flops. Apart from the star power of Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, Blue had some amazing production work, under water scenes and beauty of Bahamas. Special appearance by Kylie Minogue was also not enough to attract the audience to come to cinemas.

4. Guzaarish

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Guzaarish was made with a budget of 750 million INR. It won a few awards for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali but did not succeed to win the heart of viewers. Guzaarish was a huge loss for producers. Box office collection of the movie was not enough as it didn’t even reach 300 million INR. Guzaarish ended up being considered as a huge Bollywood disaster according to its box office collection in the end.

5. Fitoor

Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor in a lead role was made up with a value of 700 million INR. Songs were good but at the same time movie had no script. It was a great buzz that Shaandar would contribute to the successful cinema. Shaandar was an expensive flop as the movie was not able to cover its cost at the box office.

Here is Abhishek Bachchan with yet another expensive flop of Bollywood. Director Goldie Behl and the movie starring Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra miserably failed to impress the audience. Investing a huge budget of 600 million INR on Abhishek Bachchan was actually a risky move in itself. The movie was a huge disaster due to its box office collection. The movie was full of imaginary rubbish that confused the audience. Abhinav Kashyap directed movie Besharam had a star image of Ranbir Kapoor and huge Budget of 600 million INR. When Besharam released, everyone was puzzled that why a star like Ranbir Kapoor agreed to do a movie like this. Initially, his stardom succeeded to bring the audience to the theaters but due to its bad script, the movie eventually failed at the end. The movie ruined the stardom of Ranbir Kapoor and only managed to collect one-third of its budget value according to its box office collection. Producer Harry Baweja was launching his son Harman Baweja with a budget of 600 million INR. The movie Love Story 2050, starring debutant Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra was all set to impress the audience with the new idea of a futuristic science-based love story. Directed by Anurag Basu, Kites featured Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, a Mexican actress in a lead role.
