Top 10 Things We Learned From The Famous TV Show MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan Hindi Article

The series “Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan” was more than just a show for the fans. It was the story of five teenagers with big dreams. FAB 5 - the musical band where people were not just connected by music but by something more. The show follows the story of childhood friends who went on to become one of the most happening people in their academy. However, things took a turn when a simple girl joined the academy, fought against their bullies and made her identity. The show illustrated friendship, love, family and all the social issues that a teenager has to face in our society. It taught us so many things and highlighted a few issues very well. It was one of the most loved TV show till now.

1. Friends Don’t Leave You

The show revolved around lives of five friends: Manik, Alya, Dhruv, Mukti, and Cabir. They were fondly known as “FAB 5.” The theme of the show was ‘friendship’ as its name suggests. All the cast members did justice to the characters and proved that friendship is all about standing by each other and supporting each other in the worst situations of life. Every episode brought difficulties and challenges for them, but they never fell apart.

2. Love Is Unconditional

Another factor of the show that made youth crazy was the sizzling chemistry between the lead characters Manik and Nandini. Also known as “Manan” by the fans, they both set an example of undying love. Even after being brought up in different cities and background, they fell in love. They brought the perfect relationship scenario for the viewers. It was a treat to watch two imperfect people fit together so perfectly. They taught us to love our partners in spite of their flaws and bring out the best in them. As the show went on, Nandini made Manik a better person, and that what is love all about!

3. Friendship Is Not About Keeping Tabs

Manik Was The Person Who Was Always Protective Of His Friends More Than Anything Around Him. He Understood Them, Cared About Them And Made Sure They Don’t Have To Face Everything Alone. Dhruv Was Like A Little Brother To Him. They Were Together Since Childhood. However, Dhruv Had His Share Of Jealousy And Insecurities About Him. Like In Every Friendship, There Is Love And Other Emotions. Dhruv Suffered Them All Including Inferiority Complex And He Tried To Tell Manik About All The Things He Gave In For Their Bond. Friendship Is Not About Keeping Tabs, That Way You Lose The Essence Of It.

4. There Should Be A Balance Between Friendship And Love

There are certain rules in friendship. It becomes chaotic when one tries to mix up relationship and friendship. Every individual should prioritise people around them. Manik was always confused about his priorities. He never felt any less towards FAB 5 but started to feel more towards Nandini at a point. However, he was always there for his friends more than he was there for her. He did not choose her over his long-term friendship with FAB 5. As they say, people come and go, but best friends always stay by your side.

5. Never Judge A Person Without Knowing Them Well

There are so many people out there who get judged on their actions and their behaviour. However, every person is fighting a battle which is hard. The show started with the plot where FAB 5 bullied all the people. They were the bad people at first, but they never wore a mask and hid their intentions, may it be good or bad. They were at least true and did not pretend to be someone they are not. Harshad started the show as a savior and became the most annoying and evil person later. He not only had bad intentions for all the people but also took a lot of efforts to make their life terrible. Hence, it is wrong to judge people at first without knowing them well.

6. Always Stand Up For The Right Things Even If It Means Standing Alone

Most of the people migrate from small towns to cities for education. It is always a hard task to settle in a new culture and different people. Nandini and Navya who came from a small place suffered a lot in the first few months at SPACE Academy. They also stood up for themselves. They fought their bullies and still managed to stay firm in the big city. They made mistakes, trusted wrong people but never gave up and most of all they learned from everything. They did not change their opinions or thinking according to others in the city. Both of them believed in the right things and fought for it.

7. People In Every Relation Need Their Space, Even In Friendship

FAB 5 grew up together. Probably every teenager who watched Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan wanted a group like them. They had their share of happiness as well as sad moments. The show highlighted few problems young people face including eating disorders, inferiority problems, etc. At a point in the show, Alya and Dhruv wanted to part ways from FAB 5 and needed their space. There are times when a person is trying to discover their inner self, but that is not the end of any relation. Every person needs that alone time. Friendship is not the amount of time you spend with each other; it’s the time you are not with the other person, but you still know you are always going to be there for each other.

8. Family Is Not Always Related To Us By Blood

Manik never had a ‘family’. He lived with his step-mother Nyonika, who was another negative person in the show and always made his life miserable. FAB 5 was his family as they grew up together. He had his best moments with them instead of his family. As the show reached its mid-plot, Cabir was disowned by his mother because of his sexual preferences. He found comfort and support in his friends. He later went on to become close to Navya. She always supported him and made him feel like a family. Even today, there are people who do not have perfect families. For them, friendship is a bond purer than any blood relation.

9. We Should Accept People The Way They Are

Cabir was the funniest and cutest character on the show. He had a fun-loving and jolly vibe which kept FAB 5 together. He was more like a brother to Manik and Dhruv. There came a point where it was revealed that he was gay. However, he was not happy with his feelings as it was not acceptable to the society and his mother too. It is the current situation in India. Many people are fighting with themselves over their feelings every now and then. In spite of everyone being unsupportive towards him, none of the FAB 5 members neither did Navya leave his side. They helped him fight against the society and made him strong during his bad phase. It is important that we are supportive of all kind of people as they are humans like us. They deserve respect from us. We have no right to interfere in their personal life. It is a good deed to help other people stand up high than putting them down.

10. Real Endings Are Not Always Sweet

After running successfully for over two years the show ended on 31st December 2015. There are many shows that end on a happy note but in reality, the end is not always how we see in the movies. Hats off to the makers of Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan for ending the show with a realistic approach. The show came to an end with all the people migrating to different places for their future. That is how it works in real world. No matter how close your friends are, there comes a time when we grow up and leave cities and countries for our betterment. It is the bitter part of life that everyone has to accept now or then. Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan was not just a show, it was an on-screen display on how real life of any teenager is!
