1. Nivin Pauly:

One of the hottest stars of Malayalam cinema today, Nivin Pauly is best known for his acting in movies like Thattathin Marayathu (2012), ‘ Neram’ (2013), Bangalore Days (2014), ‘ Premam’ (2015) and many more. But a lesser known fact is that he graduated from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Ernakulum with a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. He even worked with Infosys in Bangalore for two years.

2. Prithviraj Sukumaran:

Prithviraj Sukumaran is another well-known face in Malayalam cinema and has starred in around 80 films throughout his career. Before he acted in his famous debut film ‘ Nandanam’ (2002), he was a student of the University of Tasmania in Australia pursuing engineering in Information Technology.

3. Vineeth Sreenivasan:

The talented son of veteran actor ‘ Sreenivasan’, Vineeth is known to be an actor, playback singer, lyricist, director, producer and screenwriter. But before venturing into the film industry, he did Mechanical Engineering in the KCG College of Technology, Chennai.

Aju Varghese rose to fame for his comedic roles during the past few years and is a part of almost every successful Malayalam film these days. He graduated from the Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai with a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering and briefly worked with HSBC Chennai in Human Resources before his career in acting began.

5. Indrajith Sukumaran:

Actor and singer Indrajith is Prithviraj’s elder brother and an equally important part of the Malayalam film industry, having played roles in various notable films. And like his brother, he too has a degree in Engineering from the Sardar Raja College of Engineering in Tirunelveli.

Rejith Menon became famous through his debut in the Malayalam film ‘Goal’, and since then he has gone on to act in Telugu and Hindi films too. He is an alumnus of the St. Josephs College of Engineering in Chennai and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering before becoming a common face on the silver screen.

Famous for playing villainous roles, actor Sunny Wayne made his debut in the movie Second Show (2012) alongside Dulqar Salmaan. Before becoming an actor, he did engineering in Information Technology at the Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology.

One of the most desirable men in Kochi according to The Times, Tovino Thomas is a model turned actor who earned praise for his role as the main villain in the film ABCD (2013). He is an alumnus of the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore from where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering.

9. Sudev Nair:

Sudev Nair is a critically acclaimed actor who shot to fame after acting in the 2015 Malayalam film My Life Partner for which he was named the Best Actor at the Kerala State Film Awards. He is armed with a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur.

Sreejith Vijay made his debut in veteran director ‘ Fazil’s movie Living Together (2011) but shot to fame by playing the lead role in the 2011 remake of the old Malayalam hit ‘ Rathinirvedam’. Although he is a model and an actor, he studied Engineering in Computer Science at the Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology in Vazhakulam.
