Dulquer Salmaan or DQ, the name with which he is popular among his fans, is an Indian actor, predominant in the Malayalam cinema. He is a heartthrob and the son of the famous superstar Mammootty. Dulquer was born on 28th July, 1986 in Kochi, Kerala. He completed in graduation in Business Management from the Purdue University in the United States of America. The actor sought it wise to pursue his education before entering the world of Cinema.
Before giving a try in the film industry, Dulquer was a very successful businessman. He owns a web portal for the trading of cars. He is currently the Director of Motherhood, a Bangalore-based hospital. He is also the owner of a Dental business in Chennai.
Dulquer is the son of Sulfath and the superstar Mammootty. Mammootty is known as Mammukka and Dulquer as Kunjikka.

He is married to a Chennai-based Architect, Amal Sufiya. Amal Sufiya belongs to a North-Indian Muslim family, settled in Chennai. Their marriage was an arranged one. He tied the knot on 22nd December, 2011, just 44 days before the release of his debut ‘
Second Show.’ He also has a daughter, named Mariyam.
Dulquer Salmaan’s debut was in Srinath Rajendran’s ‘Second Show,’ in which he played a Gangster. Dulquer received appreciation for his style of acting in the movie, although the film received mixed reviews.
