According to the recent reports, the biopic is named ‘

Akshay Kumar

and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. Interestingly, R Madhavan has also joined this film, and will be seen in an important role.
In case you are unaware, C Sankaran Nair was a famous lawyer who had taken on the British Empire. He was a member of the esteemed Viceroy’s Council, when he resigned from his post on learning about the gruesome incidents at Jallianwala Bagh in 1919. He even took the perpetrators to the courts, though he wasn’t successful in getting them convicted.
‘Shankara’ is being backed by Dharma Productions.
