for apparently hurting the religious sentiments of people through the upcoming satirical film, Mohalla Assi. The FIR was also served to the producer, director and to the other casts of the film.
The complaint was filed at the Barnala Sadar Police Station few days after the censor board received a notice from the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court. Tarlochan Bansal, the president of the Punjab Kanwar Sangh found an FIR registered against Sunny Deol and to the other casts and staff of the film. Bansal stated that some offensive dialogues pertaining to Hindu religion and the Lord Shiva was used in Mohalla Assi.
Opinderjit Singh Ghumman of the Barnala police confirmed that there is a registered FIR under Section 295 (A) of the IPC against Deol and the producer, director and other casts of the film.
