Recently, Tanmay Bhatt, the standup comedian made fun of
Lata Mangeshkar and
Sachin Tendulkar in a video, which went viral online. This video created a huge controversy and a lot of debates and discussions went on. Although Lata didn’t open about this, her sister,
Asha Bhosle supported her within 24 hours after the video release. After a while, the 86-year-old legendary musician opens about this. Lata is not at all angry at anyone and she says that nothing affects her as he has already crossed a lot of hurdles in her life. This kind of spoofs didn’t worry her, says Lata. She was quoted saying, “At an age when other girls play with dolls, I was out of the house trying to find work as a singer. I learned from a young age that work is the only thing that matters. Log bahot pareshan ho gaye. Mujhe yeh bura laga. I don't like the idea of people getting hassled because of me. I want to assure all my well-wishers that these are tiny matters. There are far greater issues in life. We must not give undue importance to those who thrive on maligning people. I am sure they have their reasons for doing what they do." This is what we call Maturity, isn’t it? Hats off to you Lata Ji!
