The building was 98 years old, and it was severely damaged. So, the “Kapoor Haveli” is partially demolished by its present owner. The top floor was demolished, says a source. As it was announced as heritage, the demolition of the house was informed to the police, and they stopped the destruction. It is also reported that a case will be filed against the owner for demolishing the house. But, the owner said that the building became worst, and it might fall at any time. If the government didn’t take any steps to protect the building, then it will just be seen in the history, says the archaeologists.
