was rushed to the emergency of Apollo Multispecialty Hospital in Kolkata last Saturday due to severe pain in his right and upper limbs. The 73-year-old actor and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has undergone an MRI test as he has been diagnosed with Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident or Ischemic stroke in the brain.
Mithun is recuperating and is in stable condition. He is recovering well after a series of laboratory and radiology tests. The actor was discharged today and stated that he is okay. He confirmed that he will resume shooting his films pretty soon.
Mithun Chakraborty is the recipient of the Padma Bhushan Awards 2024. He started his career in the 1976 film Mrigayaa, for which he bagged the National Film Award for Best Actor.
