who is back with a film after a long time, which is based on the life of the infamous bandit and smuggler Veerappan, and is titled the same.
The film revolves around how Veerappan became a dacoit and the events which led to Operation Cocoon, the dramatic operation to kill Veerappan. Varma seems to have researched a lot on this subject. He apparently gathered information from Veerappan’s ex- gang members and some government spies as well.
Sources have revealed that there’s a scene in the movie which shows Veerappan planning to abduct the famous superstar Rajnikanth. This has successfully created a hype among fans.
The movie is set to release worldwide on 27th May.
