Sajjad Ali
has given some major hits earlier with a wide range of genres. The musical talent is back with his single titled ‘Nakhun’, which has garnered over half a million views on YouTube and has been doing the rounds on several social networking platforms. Nakhun is one such melody and is very close to his heart since his daughter
Zaw Ali
has directed the video for the track. He further adds that this isn't the maiden collaboration of the father- daughter duo. She had made a documentary based on the long and beautiful musical journey of Sajjad. Talking about the song, Sajjad Ali says that the lyrics of his latest single are inspired by the works of the great poet
Mirza Ghalib
. He says that he strikes a magical chord with Ghalib’s poetry. A person who is fond of Urdu poetry, specifically Mirza Ghalib, will understand the beauty of his work. Sajjad says that the song is about a relationship between two people which has gone wrong due to some change in their feelings. Nakhun, literally meaning fingernails, has been used in the song metaphorically, meaning human ego. He further adds that he is excited about the next version of the Coke Studio Pakistan.
