, is all set for his next. The brilliant director has chosen the life of the former underworld don, Muthappa Rai on his next film venture, with actor '

' in the lead role. The bilingual film will be entitled as Apparai and will be made in both Hindi and Kannada.
He said he first heard the story of Muthappa while he was in Mumbai, and it intrigues him. Muthappa’s story that happened, reported and has been told by many people also fascinates him. The director also finds the don’s journey as a legend and beside his story, Ram was equally fascinated with the man himself; on how he view things, his attitude towards the whole world and how he carved his life.
Ram already met Muthappa Rai but he said the don has nothing to do with the film. His story does not come from him alone as the director gathered more information from all the people involved in Muthappa’s life. He also adds that Sudeep has been his choice to play as the protagonist ever since he started planning for the project.
