Sonu Gowda is a noted Kannada actress. She loves her traditions, and the festival of Ugadi tops the list of her favorite festivals for a variety of reasons. When there is a mention about Ugadi, she said she is excited due to a lot of things. Initially, it announces the mango season which is the favorite fruit. Next, it happens to be the time for the entire family to come under one roof. The initial day is a potluck lunch gathering, and it has a number of dishes. These vary from the Obbattus to Chitranna to Vangi Bath. The next day, they taste the non-vegetarian dishes. They play cricket and card games. This year, since the weekend is round the corner, there is a plan of extending the celebrations until the end of the week. About the day of Ugadi, Sonu said that she loves the fact that the New Year is welcomed in a balanced manner in Karnataka.
