2023 was not as explosive for Kannada cinema as intended. However, the cinemagoers were looking forward to 2024 with anticipation.
Sadly, the first few months of 2024 haven’t much been different. Except for a few releases like ‘Upadhyaksha’, and ‘Shakhahaari’, none of the films have even managed to cut an average grosser.
So, what is next for the Sandalwood? The month of March is a good opportunity for Kannada filmmakers to buck up. Unlike other regions, the Kannada film industry had no major releases in early 2024.
However, that makes no room for laziness.
