There is hassle to the release of seven movies following protest against entertainment tax that has been levied on movies. There are already 30 percent entertainment taxes for movies. Theater proprietors forwarded condemnation to the move and declared that theaters will be shut as a protest. Discussions were held between the representatives of the theater and government Following the discussions that were held, the protest was dropped and the theaters were reopened. Now, the government has reduced the entertainment tax to ten percent and made an announcement.
The people in the field of cinema have forwarded condemnation to this. They have said that the entertainment tax should be completely cancelled. The producer council has announced that they would go on a strike and said that new movies would not be screened in theaters. So, movies as Urudhi Kol,
