in year 1990, is now celebrating his 25th year in the industry.
A grand felicitation event was organized by Sai Shakthi Event Organizers, to honor the director and recognize his great contribution to Tamil Cinema and also to celebrate Sai’s twenty five years as a filmmaker. The event entitled Vasanth Sai 25 will be held on October this year in Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai. The said event will be graced by well-known celebrities and eminent guests to wish the director on his silver jubilee year. An orchestra and popular playback singers will perform the songs from his directorial films.
Shri was guided by the legendary filmmaker, K. Balachander and made his directorial debut Keladi Kanmani, followed by a number of notable films like Rhythm, Aasai, Sattam Podathe and more. He become famous for his realistic style and his films was called as the middle path amidst the commercial and parallel cinema that deals with human relationships and social matter.
The director is also the receiver of the National Award, three State Awards and was also called as the Kalaimamani by the Tamil Nadu Government in year 2003 for his contributions to the Tamil film industry. Vasanth Sai also received the Vocational Excellence Award and For the Sake of Honour, the highest award of Rotary.
