The director narrated how he met Varun during an acting workshop in Antony’s Night show. Jayaraj said he loves the performance of Varun and so he wanted to cast him in his next film as the lead actor. When he narrated the script to Varun’s uncle, he was able to get in touch with Prabhudheva, who instantly agreed to do the film.

The upcoming film will be based on the life of Victor Jayaraj himself. He said, "The film is based on a disorder humans suffer from. I have been a victim and have undergone many things in my life due to that - this is the crux of the story.” He adds that he cannot divulged what the disorder is but one thing is for sure, the film will be a psycho-emotional, romantic film with a touch of dark comedy inside it.
