According to Ravi, he and his brother have not yet tried to make serious films, but in Thani Oruvan, it can show that side of them and about how much they love doing films. Ravi is quite thrilled on seeing himself portraying the role of a cop. He said he has lots of respect for the men in uniform. They are someone who offers their entire life to save and protect the people from the bad people of the society, he adds. Ravi prepared for his role and did his homework since he doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of the cops. He even attended weapon training session and researched about the organized crime intelligence agency, because the story of the film revolves on that. He also believes that they can offer something new to the audience since no one has ever told stories about organized crime.

' who is playing as the antagonist in the film has almost the same role to the protagonist in Thani Oruvan. "It's a good-versus-evil film, so, only when there is a rise in the power of the evil that the value of good increases. Also, it's not a usual good-vs-evil script, as there is no personal vendetta between these two characters,” he said. He also praised Arvind for his performance wand shared that he has learned so much from the actor. He admits that he is a fan of Arvind and finds it a dream come true to work with him.

The actor also recalled how he and his brother started on filmmaking during college days. He said he did a short film where the lead character is a socially aware person. Since then, he has always desire to do such roles that influence society in any ways. Then his brother came to him with a script containing of a beautiful message that we should be aware of who are our real enemy. He adds that it is a beautiful action thriller and he had full confidence with Mohan. Ravi also believes that his brother deserves to win because he has put his heart to his script.

Thani Oruvan was shot in more than ten locations such as Switzerland, Thailand, Andhra, Rishikesh, Goa and more. It was produced under the banner of AGS Entertainment.
